The camcorder combines the power of a 42x optical zoom with the quality of an 800,000-pixel CCD sensor for exceptional results.

The VDR-50 has an advanced optical image stabiliser, which is activated 4,000 times a second to correct blur caused by subject movement and camera shake. It also comes with a special photo mode for SD and SDHC cards, and is equipped with a superb 2.7” LCD screen on which you can monitor your creations.

The VDR-50 also includes several scene modes and white balance settings.
